Our client, a school in Nice, wanted to equip part of its playground with a covered play area. The main aim of the installation was to provide a covered area for the pupils. This would enable them to be sheltered outside at all times. At the same time, our customer wanted its covered play area to be of a size suited to the space in which it was to be installed.

Creating a made-to-measure courtyard in Nice

Laying a customised metal structure

For this 100m2 project, we proposed a made-to-measure courtyard to fit perfectly with the slightly rounded shape of the building and the shape of the courtyard. To ensure optimum durability over time, we opted for a galvanised steel structure. Steel treated in this way is resistant to corrosion.

Installation of specific anti-UV covers

The courtyard was covered with UV-treated polycarbonate sheets. As well as providing protection against the rain, this means that the sun’s rays are protected all year round. The cover is colourless, which means it blends discreetly into its surroundings and lets in maximum light, particularly for the rooms underneath.
